1,175,748. Dish-washing machines. G. BROLLO. 21 March, 1967 [13 Jan., 1967], No. 13242/67. Heading A4F. A dish washing machine contains a freely rotatable horizontal platform 6 adapted to support a basket 12 and a pair of guide rails 18, (19), Fig. 3 (not shown), each having one end hinged to a flap door 2 so that the basket is guided on the rails out of and into its supported position on the platform as the flap door is opened and closed. As shown, two flap doors 2, 3 are provided and two baskets 12, 13 are mounted on separate platforms 6, 7. Liquid which is heated by an electrical resistor in a tank 24 is fed from the tank by a pump 26 to pipes 22, 23 each having two nozzles at the level of each basket. Articles to be cleaned are arranged radially in the baskets and the jets of liquid from one pair of nozzles impinge on one side of the articles whilst the jets from the other pair of nozzles impinge on the other side of the articles. The jets of liquid strike the articles at different angles so that a relatively slow counter clockwise rotation of the basket is produced. On opening the flap door a bent portion 21 of each guide rail engages a projection 16, (17) so that the basket is lifted from its platform. In a modification the baskets are positioned one on top of the other and mounted on a single support, a single flap door being provided.
|
