PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management device capable of managing the legitimate output time of electronic data as a history of outputs of the electronic data by using time stamps issued from a time certification authority, and an imaging device therewith. SOLUTION: When a request to output electronic data is made (Yes in step S11), a time stamp acquisition process (step S12-S14) for acquiring a time stamp from the time certification authority 3 is executed to obtain the time stamp that corresponds to the time when the electronic data is outputted. As the history of outputs of the electronic data, the time stamps are accumulated and stored along with the outputted electronic data (file names, data themselves and the like) (step S17).
