PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection apparatus, an image projection method and an image position correction program capable of automatically projecting an image in a right direction on a screen even if a manuscript is imaged tilted or upside down. SOLUTION: The projection apparatus 1 is equipped with an image position correction section 30 for correcting an image position from a tilt of the image which is imaged and stored in a first storing section 28 or a second storing section 29. The image position correction section 30 performs letter recognition of a letter image which is cut out from the image of the manuscript and calculates a tilt angle when the number of predetermined ranked letters whose tilt are easily determined (high ranked letter) is a predetermined number, and the position of a whole manuscript image is corrected by coordinate transformation and the image data whose position is corrected is projected on the screen via a projection image creation section 31, a D/A converting section 32 and an image projection section 33.
