GATE OPENING/CLOSING DRIVE DEVICE FOR HYDRAULIC BRAKE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate opening/closing drive device for achieving low noises and low pollution by using a hydraulic brake device for braking a gate when moved down in emergency or electric failure to control a moving-down speed to be adequate. SOLUTION: The gate opening/closing drive device uses the motive force of a driving source 4 for moving up and down a spindle 2 mounted with a gate 5 through a transmission device 3 having a rack and pinion mechanism. During shut-off of an electromagnetic clutch 20 incorporated in the transmission device 3, the gate 5 is moved down with its dead weight to shut off a flow path.
