PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plated steel sheet exhibiting excellent hot dip metal embrittlement crack resistance, and in which the high corrosion resistance of a Zn-Al-Mg alloy plating layer can be utilized. SOLUTION: In the plated steel sheet in which a Zn-Al-Mg alloy plating layer is formed, the base steel comprises, by mass, 0.001 to 0.3% C,≤1.5% Si, 0.05 to 2.0% Mn,≤0.2% P and≤0.03% S, further comprises one or more kinds selected from 0.001 to 0.1% Ti, 0.001 to 0.1% Nb, 0.01 to 0.3% V, 0.01 to 0.5% Mo and 0.01 to 0.5% Zr, and, if required, comprises 0.0001 to 0.01% B. Ti, Nb, V, Mo, Zr-based precipitates or composite precipitates with a grain size of 10 to 2,000Åare dispersed into the matrix of the base steel, and the average crystal grain size in the region from the surface layer to the depth of the sheet thickness×1/3 is refined to≤50μm.
