PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system, a method, and a program capable of speedily and easily performing matching corrections on a road on which one is actually traveling by simple operations in the case that a road judged by map matching as one on which one is traveling is different from the road on which one is actually traveling. SOLUTION: The navigation system is provided with a matching candidate detection part 46 for monitoring whether a screen is scrolled by a user or not and detecting and blinking the road closest to a cursor of scroll-centered coordinates in the case that the screen has been scrolled, a forcible map matching part 45 for determining whether the user has performed a confirmation operation of the cursor at the location of the cursor or not and forcibly performing map matching on the blinking road in the case that the operation has been performed, and a control unit 47 for controlling the operation of map display, guidance screen display, etc. according to results of the forcible map matching when forcible map matching has been performed.
