PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an image quality improvement of printing images by suppressing unevenness of hitting positions of ink because of a difference of colors of the ink. SOLUTION: The printer is equipped with (A) a head which moves relatively to a medium, (B) a plurality of ink discharging parts each of which is set at the head, discharges the ink of the different color towards the medium when the head moves relatively to the medium, and can form a first dot of a predetermined size on the medium and a second dot of a smaller size than the predetermined size, (C) a signal output part which outputs a periodic signal to be a reference of a timing whereby the ink is discharged from the ink discharging parts correspondingly to each pixel that constitutes an image to be printed, and (D) a controller which changes the timing whereby the ink is discharged, within a period of the signal according to the ink discharging parts from which the ink is discharged when the ink is discharged from the ink discharging parts so as to form the second dot on the medium.
