PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic EL display device of passive matrix drive system wherein the service life of an element can be prolonged even if it is increased in precision. SOLUTION: This organic EL display is provided with a first electrode 4, an organic EL emission layer 5 and a second electrode 6 which are arranged on a substrate 1. In the first electrode 4, a plurality of first wires 2 are laminated through insulating layers 3 in between and divided into a plurality of areas 7-10, the first wires 2 of the top layer of the inner areas 8, 9 are sequentially connected with the first wires 2 of the lower layer of the areas 7, 10 adjacent outside from central areas 8, 9 to outer areas 7, 10 and drawn outside of an arranging range of the organic EL emission layer 5 with the first wires 2 of the top layer of the outside areas 7, 10. Since the first electrode 4 has a multilayer structure, the number of partitions of a display screen can be increased and simultaneously driven and an emission time per pixel can be prolonged.
