The scooter (10) has an operating device (50) that includes a shift rod (56) connected to the neck portion of a lever arm (52), and chain bracket (58) fastened to the lever arm between the shift rod and lever stops (53). The scooter also has a blocking device (60) having two connecting arms (61) attached to the rear axle, and a fixed block (62) connected to distal ends of the connecting arms. The chain bracket is connected close to a guide chain wheel (41) with the rear end of a chain (44). The connecting arms are connected to the proximal ends of the connecting arms. The guide chain wheel is aligned with the rear end of the chain. The lever arm can be tilted on the rear axle over the rear wheel (24) of the scooter to shift movement of the scooter. The chain is coupled between the guide chain wheel and driving chain wheel arranged at the rear axle.
