<p>A communication path switching system comprises a wireless base station (21) having a function of wireless communication with a mobile station (11) and also having a function of relaying, on a wireless communication path, data from the mobile station; and a plurality of transmitting apparatuses (41,841) each having a function of wired communication with the wireless base station (21) and capable of establishing a respective wired communication path for transmitting/relaying the data transmitted from the mobile station to another mobile station. The communication path switching system can switch between the wired communication path from the wireless base station (21) to one transmitting apparatus (841) and the other wired communication path from the wireless base station (21) to another transmitting apparatus (41) without reestablishing the wireless communication path between the mobile station and the wireless base station.</p>
