<p>1275336 Alloying briquettes KLOCKNER & CO 14 May 1970 [23 May 1969J 23499/70 Heading C7D An alloying briquette for addition to melts containing predominantly iron e.g. steel melts is made by mixing a ferro-alloy powder, e.g. crushing dust residue, of grain size less than 4 mm with an aqueous solution of acrylic acid polymer binder containing free carboxyl groups, forming the briquette from the mixture by pressing and then heat hardening. The amount of polymer in the mixture is preferably not more than 1% by weight of the powder.</p> |
