<p>The method is for the operation of a burner, whereby fuel (15) is fed to the burner, mixed with combustion air to form a fuel-air mixture, and burnt in a combustion chamber. To reduce the nitrous oxide emissions a fuel characteristic is purposefully established with regard to a predetermined nitrous oxide emission, whereby a change of a parameter characterizing the fuel is determined. The fuel is injected into the combustion air and mixed with it. An independent claim is included for a device (23) for carrying out the aforesaid method with a monitoring and control system (29) for adjusting the fuel temperature.</p> |
