The carriage assembly has at least two pairs of carriages (4,5,30,31) for supporting each sliding casement and each carriage of each pair has a shunt arm (6,7) which connects the carriage to the lower casement beam of the casement. A maximum of four and preferably less than four different carriage housings are provided for two left or right opening sliding casements. A common elongated profiled rail (8) can be fitted on the casement frame of slide carriages. |
