Circuit for an electric supply line, consisting of an input terminal and an output terminal as well as a control unit to regulate the supply to be provided to a load, whereby between the said input and output terminal at least a first and a second driver transistor is inserted, whose source is connected to a current zero passage detector, which current zero passage detector is provided to generate a zero passage signal when detecting a zero passage of the current to the said source, which circuit further has a control signal generator provided to generate a control signal, consisting of a pulse sequence whose pulses have a variable pulse duration and whereby each pulse from the control signal has a falling edge determined on the basis of the zero passage signal, which control signal generator is connected to the gate on each driver transistor to supply the control signal.
