<p>On a two for one twister, there is an automatic compressed air threading device. The operator places the yarn on a tube which runs down the centre of the package on the spindle, and it is sucked down, out of the side of the spindle onto a spoon shaped deflector which lifts it to a further trumpet shaped jet. An arm swings over, picks the end up and blows it up for the operator to fasten on the take up package. The pick up arm can be used as a balloon centre. Magnets centre the spindle for the threading.</p> |
