<p>Non-woven fabric reinforced by stitching.. B2A. Has its fibres laid widthwise and stitch lines (13) extending lengthwise, each line being of two-thread lock stitches and with adjacent lines interconnected diagonally by stitch loops (22) and spaced apart by a distance less than the lengths of the fibres. Specifically, one or both faces of the fabric is covered by a layer of fibres (25) covering the stitches. The fabric can have been needled by barked needles for fibre interlacing. Uses are for blankets, bedspreads, outerwear. Advantages are high stability and strength during wear and laundering, without including scrim or warp yarns.</p> |
