The assembly has a lower leg protection system (8) comprising energy absorption devices (14), with thin metallic sheets (16), connecting a foot-rest wall (10) to a case part (2). Each device (14) is designed such that a strong foot pressure exerted on the wall generates plastic deformation of the sheet to fold the sheet. The foot pressure corresponds to abnormal pressure occurring during impact of a motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising an occupant`s lower leg protection assembly.
