PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the consumption of power due to the execution of a photographing preparation operation when photographing is not intended. SOLUTION: A release button 29 is provided with a pressurizing shaft 29a for pressurizing a release switch 31 and a flange part 29b provided with a first electrode 35. The release button 29 is energized upwards by a coil spring 30, and the first electrode 35 is in contact with a second electrode 36 provided on an exterior body 33. When the release button 29 is pressed, the first electrode 35 and the second electrode 36 are separated and the start of a pressing operation is electrically detected. When the release button 29 is pressed further, diaphragm adjustment and focus adjustment are executed at a half pressed position and photographing is executed at a fully pressed position. The photographing preparation operation is not executed when the finger of a photographer just approaches or just touches the release button.
