PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber membrane module inspection device capable of irradiating so that reflected light can be received uniformly even in the case where a cut surface shape has a strain, thereby reducing wrong detection by improving a contrast between a hollow part and a resin part, and discovering early a cutter abnormality on the end surface, and a method for inspecting or manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane module. SOLUTION: This hollow fiber membrane module inspection device has the first imaging means for receiving reflected light from a plane type illumination and the hollow fiber membrane module, the second imaging means for receiving scattered light from a ring type illumination and the hollow fiber membrane module, a defect discrimination means for processing an image acquired by each imaging means, and a module scanning means for moving the module.
