A module (1) and a plate for use in an aquatic environment are provided. The plate being suitable for use as a bottom in an aquarium singly or in combination with various types of aquarium bottom materials. The plate comprises a first area (22) and a plurality of second areas (23), the first area constitutes a coherent area of a first material, whereas the plurality of second areas are constituted by individual second areas geometrically isolated from each other. The first area may be taken as the plate itself, whereas the plurality of second areas may be taken as holes or indentations in the plate. The module supports an aquarium plant (31). The individual modules may be detached from and attached to the plate, in order to provide plants at specific positions, rearrange plants, etc. The module may be used singly or in combination with the plate. The module and/or the plant may be provided in a fibre material such as a coconut coir material to ensure optimal thriving of the plants. The module may further be accommodated by a pot having two functionalities depending on its orientation. |
