<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory element wherein recorded information is hardly lost even by light irradiation for reading recording, and also to provide an image processing method by which initialization, recording and erasure of memory element are made. <P>SOLUTION: In the memory element wherein a recording layer containing microcapsules each includes at least a photochromic compound and an electron receptive compound is formed on a supporting substrate, the electron receptive compound is a Lewis acid compound, and the number of carbon atoms of a long chain structure part other than a Lewis acid part is 12 or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
