AUTHENTICATION METHOD USING AUTHENTICATION KEY INCLUDING AGE INFORMATION, AND CONTENT DELIVERY SYSTEM PERFORMING AUTOMATIC CHARGE DISCOUNT BY USE OF THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing authentication operation by use of an authentication key including birthday information, which enables automatic authentication of a user without input of a user ID or password while not performing this authentication in a content server, and discount of the charge of a content according to the user's age.

SOLUTION: The authentication key 111 stores authentication key information for authentication of the user and birthday information of the user, and this key is used by being connected to a terminal 110. According to this, the authentication of the user can be automatically performed between a client 110 and an authentication server 130, and discount charging processing for the charge of a content selected by the user can be performed by use of the user's age based on age discount information. As a result, even a person who uses a paid content delivery system for the first time can receive a discount service if a content selected is an object of age discount.
