<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having a display function, a reading function and a compensation function. <P>SOLUTION: This display device has a light emitting element and an imaging element and the imaging element has a function for detecting luminance of the light emitting element and information about an object to be read. In addition, the display device of this invention has a storage circuit which stores output of the imaging element and a compensation circuit which compensates a video signal and power source potential based on the output of the imaging element.
