<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a measuring method of a recognizing ability capable of restoring incomplete information to original information, which can explain the correspondence to a brain function, make good use of its result for a research of the brain function, and contribute to the selection of education suited to each person, the determination of an aptitude and an early detection of diseases related to the recognizing ability such as Alzheimer's dementia in future. <P>SOLUTION: This recognizing ability measuring apparatus displays a deteriorated image, or an image formed by executing a predetermined processing to an original image having a significant object and deteriorating the information for perceiving the object; receives that the subject perceives the object therefrom; calculates a perception time, or a time taken by the subject for perceiving the object based on the received result; and calculates a cognition ability score, or an index obtained by digitizing the recognizing ability of the subject by a predetermined calculation based on difficulty information, or the information on the perception time and the difficulty of the deteriorated picture when perceiving the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
