LUBRICANT DISTRIBUTION WEIR FOR LUBRICATING MOVABLE MACHINE ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method of uniformly supplying lubricant on a rotating machine part.

SOLUTION: The present apparatus (14) contains a reservoir (20) for lubricant of rotary circumference which is axially attached and includes a weir (22). The weir (22) contains one side surface of the reservoir (20) for lubricant. The reservoir (20) and the weir are disposed with uniform radius around rotary axis and in circumferential direction and are configured so that the lubricant added to the reservoir (20) uniformly flows over the weir (22) around circumference of the weir (22) when the apparatus (14) is in high speed rotational movement condition. The apparatus can introduce the lubricant in uniform condition around the circumference of the movable apparatus (14) for the machine part which requires lubrication because the lubricant uniformly flows over an apex (28) of the weir around the circumference of the weir (22).
