PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device capable of preventing display quality from decreasing by preventing a columnar spacer from peeling or falling down in or after a manufacturing process, and to provide electronic equipment with the same. SOLUTION: The electrooptical device comprises a couple of substrates, an electrooptical substance arranged between the couple of substrates, a contact hole 15a formed on at least one substrate 10 between the couple of substrates, and a spacer 18 fixed onto a recessed part formed on the contact hole while mirroring the contact hole.
