PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech processor and an echo removing method that can prevent deterioration in performance of an echo canceler even when a gain is varied in a path from acquisition of a telephone received signal by the echo canceler to input of a reproduced speech picked up by a microphone. SOLUTION: The echo canceler 31 predicts an echo signal generated as the telephone received signal reaches a transmitted signal path 22B from a received signal path 22A by updating the tap coefficient of an adaptive filter 310 and an adder 311 subtracts the predicted signal from a transmitted signal transmitted through the transmitted signal path 22B. An adaptive filter control section 32 corrects the tap coefficient based upon the transmitted signal before the subtraction and the predicted echo signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
