PHOTOGRAPHING DEVICE AND LIFETIME DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device capable of preventing photography with a liquid lens of deteriorated performance, and to provide a lifetime detector of a liquid lens. SOLUTION: Liquid is contained in a container such that refractive index of the liquid is caused to vary depending on an applying voltage and a liquid lens 1010 performing lens action depending on variation in refractive index of the liquid is applied with a voltage from a liquid lens control section 1225a at the time of factory shipment so that the refractive index is varied and a reference value of applying voltage at the time of focusing an object located at a predetermined distance L is stored in an EEPROM. When the difference between the applying voltage at the time of focusing an object located at a distance identical to the predetermined distance L and the reference value stored in the EEPROM exceeds a predetermined amount, expiration of lifetime of the liquid lens 1010 is detected at a service center.
