PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device and a driving method thereof for preventing insufficient discharges. SOLUTION: The driving method for a plasma display device including a plurality of first electrodes, a plurality of second electrodes, and a plurality of third electrodes extended between the first electrodes and the second electrodes includes steps of; gradually increasing voltages at the first electrodes from a first voltage to a second voltage and gradually increasing voltages at the third electrodes from a third voltage to a fourth voltage , in a reset period; gradually decreasing voltages at the third electrodes from a fifth voltage to a sixth voltage in the reset period; selectively applying a scan voltage to the third electrodes in an address period; and alternately applying a sustain discharge pulse to the first electrodes and the second electrodes in a sustain period.
