PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor capable of reducing an oil take-out amount by preventing oil splash in a sub bearing on the downstream side of a gas flow passage in a sealed vessel, capable of securing reliability of the compressor, and capable of achieving improvement of efficiency as a whole of a refrigerating cycle. SOLUTION: An oil splash preventing means 27 is provided on the sub bearing 24, and thereby, an opportunity of mixing of the gas and the oil on the downstream side of the gas flow passage in the sealed vessel 1 can be reduced, and the oil take-out amount to the outside of the sealed vessel 1 can be minimized, reliability of the compressor can be secured, and the efficiency of the whole of the refrigerating cycle can be improved.
