PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin excellent in crystallinity and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The polyester resin has terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol as the main components and contains a silica powder having an average particle diameter of≤50 nm in an amount of 1-10 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. polyester resin, and the difference between the melting point and the recrystallization temperature in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is within 50°C.
