WRAPPER FEEDER IN PACKAGING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrapper feeder in a packaging apparatus capable of reserving a continuously fed wrapper in an intermittently sending reservoir and making tension of the wrapper constant even in high-speed packaging for adjustment including correct packaging. SOLUTION: The wrapper feeder 1 is applied to the packaging apparatus for packaging a product A with a web of wrapper Fw. The web of wrapper is continuously fed by a continuous feed means 40. On the other hand, an intermittent feed means 36 provided in the packaging apparatus 30 causes the wrapper Fw to intermittently travel according to the packaging operation of the apparatus 30. A reservoir means 2 provided on the downstream of the continuous feed means 40 on the way to the packaging apparatus 30 can absorb the difference in amounts of feeding by both feed means 36 and 40. A suction means 7 provided on the exit of the reservoir means 2 brings a sucking surface 10 into contact with the wrapper Fw to apply travel resistance to the wrapper Fw for applying tension.
