摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectral reflectance estimation system for an object, which can be adopted in a color reproduction system having high fidelity. SOLUTION: The spectral reflectance estimation system is composed of an imaging device in which the spectral sensitivities in the wavelength ranges, corresponding to the three primary colors are S<SB>1</SB>(λ), S<SB>2</SB>(λ), and S<SB>3</SB>(λ), respectively, when the spectral reflectance of the object to be the imaging object is r(λ), whereλis the spectral wavelength of an irradiation light; and light sources having the spectral characteristics L<SB>1</SB>(λ) and L<SB>2</SB>(λ) in the two different wavelength regions, wherein the spectral reflectance of the object is estimated, according to the fact that response characteristics S<SB>1L1</SB>, S<SB>1L2</SB>, S<SB>2L1</SB>, S<SB>2L2</SB>, S<SB>3L1</SB>, and S<SB>3L2</SB>are expressed by numerical expressions, where i=1, 2, and 3, and j=1 and 2.
