PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small cold insulating storage cooled to a low temperature at fast cooling speed. SOLUTION: This cold insulating storage 1 is provided with a box-like storage chamber 5 having an inner container 2, an outer container 3 surrounding the inner container 2, and an opening 4; a cover body 8 for opening/closing the opening 4 of the storage chamber 5; and a mechanism chamber 10 for installing a Stirling refrigerator 9. The inner container 2 is cooled using the Stirling refrigerator 9, and a vacuum heat insulating material 15 is used for heat insulation of the inner container 2. Since the heat insulating effect of the vacuum heat insulating material 15 is high compared with urethane foam or the like, a desired heat insulating effect can be obtained even if making the vacuum heat insulating material 15 thin, and the cold insulating storage 1 can be quickly cooled in comparison with a conventional one because of the high heat insulating effect.
