PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design device for conical shape involute gear pair capable of setting an arbitrary coefficient of tooth height while preventing tooth tip pointing phenomenon and tooth bottom undercutting phenomenon. SOLUTION: A computing part 6 specifies the relation of the pair of conical shape involute gears 101P, 101G by a meshing model using a design pitch point P as a reference to set coefficient k<SB>kn</SB>of conical generating line right angle addendum and effective tooth width b<SB>u</SB>in the direction of conical generating line from the design pitch point to a small end in order to satisfy the following expression: x<SB>s lim</SB>=(1/F)×((π×B<SB>v</SB>/2)-((k<SB>kn lim</SB>×cosψ(B<SB>r</SB>×tanα<SB>sr</SB>+B<SB>1</SB>×tanα<SB>sl</SB>))/cosδ))b<SB>s lim</SB>=(x<SB>s lim</SB>-x)×m<SB>n</SB>/sinδ.
