A radio machine antenna device in which the amount of energy (SAR) radiated from the device and absorbed by the head of a human body is reduced without lowering the power of the radio wave transmitted during communication. The antenna device comprises a substrate (108) serving as a base of an antenna element (102), the antenna element (102) provided at an edge in the length direction of the substrate (108) and disposed through a feeding section (107), a conductor plate (109) disposed generally parallel to a major surface of the substrate (108) and provided on a surface opposed to the surface having a receiver section sound hole, and short-circuit conductors (110) disposed at the lower edge of the conductor plate (109). The conductor plate (109) is short-circuited to the lower edge of the substrate (108) through the short-circuit conductors (110).
