<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with a laser scanning part of high safety. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a laser driving part 3 which makes a laser light modulated on the basis of an image signal emit from a laser diode 1, a mirror driving part 4 which outputs a rotation state signal that shows whether or not a polygon mirror 2 is in a normal rotation state by rotating the polygon mirror, an electric power supplying part 5 which supplies electric power to the laser driving part 3 upon receipt of an electric power supply indication, a light emission permission granting part 6 which grants light emission permission to the laser driving part 3 upon receipt of a light emission indication, an electric power supply control part 7 which grants the electric power supply indication to the electric power supplying part 5 on the basis of an operable state signal from a monitoring part 9 and the rotation state signal from the mirror driving part 4, and a light emission permission control part 8 which grants the light emission indication to the light emission permission granting part 6 on the basis of the operable state signal from the monitoring part 9 and the rotation state signal from the mirror driving part 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
