PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an air conditioner carrying out protection of a normal actuator by providing re-try conditions in every mulfunction content in operation after malfunction detection of the air conditioner, and stopping a system of all actuators or the like after re-try set condition completion. SOLUTION: A malfunction content is determined at malfunction occurrence, a re-try interval and a number of times of re-trying set per malfunction content are carried out, and if malfunction continues, malfunction is ascertained, and no more re-trying is carried out. When a malfunction is detected having a possibility of affecting even a normal actuator by changing the re-try conditions per malfunction content, the normal actuator is protected by ascertaining malfunction without carrying out re-trying after malfunction detection.
