PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slitter round blade to cut a long web sheet in constant dimensions and width capable of eliminating growth of burrs, reducing the number of man-hours and improving sharpness and durability of a blade edge in working the blade edge of the slitter round blade. SOLUTION: A grinding work surface (taper surface) 23 at a predetermined blade angle is ground by a grinding wheel 60 grinding on an outer peripheral back surface to form the outer peripheral blade edge 22 on the slitter round blade (upper blade) 20. Growth of the burrs in grinding is eliminated by setting the rotating direction of the grinding wheel 60 for grinding so as to be directed to an upper blade central part 20a from the blade edge 22 and strength of the blade edge 22 is increased in comparison with a conventional rotary linear mark (a) by forming a linear mark A extending along the normal direction from the blade edge 22 on the grinding work surface 23 in grinding work by this grinding wheel 60 for grinding.
