PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replace a merchandise display rack of a standard size with a short merchandise display rack prepared as an optional component and install the short merchandise display rack in an existing showcase by only adding a simple component to the short merchandise display rack without remodeling the main body of a showcase. SOLUTION: The showcase is provided in which merchandise display racks are arranged as upper and lower stages in the cabinet of a case main body, rack support posts 7 and 8 are erected on the right/left of a front part and on a back part in the cabinet matching with the array of the merchandise display racks of the standard size, and the merchandise display racks of the respective stages are engaged with and supported by the support posts at fixed positions through a hanging metal fitting 9. In the showcase, for the short merchandise display rack 3' whose depth size is shorter than that of the merchandise display racks of the standard size, a support arm 3a extending forward from the right and left side edges of the rack plate is provided as an accessory and the distal end of the support arm is engaged with and supported by the right and left rack support posts through the hanging metal fitting. The support arm is made of steel with an L-shaped cross section and superposed to the right and left side edges of the merchandise display rack to be secured with screws 10.
