PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a projection display apparatus capable of accurately fixing an image forming element to a fixing member as an object, and capable of projecting image information based on the image forming element with high resolution. SOLUTION: The projection display apparatus for projecting an image formed with light emitted from a light source by the image forming element on a projection screen, is provided with a prism, a 1st mount member fixed to the prism and having an adhesion surface which is parallel to the optical axis of light incident on the image forming element, a 2nd mount member for holding the image forming element and having an adhesion surface vertical to the optical axis of the light incident on the image forming element, and a spacer which is stuck to the 1st mount member and the 2nd mount member.
