PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum carburizing furnace having a carburizing chamber suppressing the accumulation of a polymerized product, soot, or the like of hydrocarbon gas into a heat insulating material, burning the polymerized product, soot or the like of hydrocarbon gas accumulated in the heat insulating material, to maintain the heat insulating function of a heat insulating material, and allowing the replacement and maintenance of the heat insulating material at a minimum cost in a short time when the heat insulating performance of the heat insulating material is degraded. SOLUTION: A fine carbon plate 7 is arranged held in the middle of a ceramic fiber board heat insulating materials 4, 5, 6 combined in three layers inside a heat insulating material frame 3. The inner layer heat insulating material 6 is independently fixed to studs welded to the heat insulating frame, by nuts and individually disassembled and replaced in distinction from the intermediate carbon plate and outer layer heat insulating materials 5, 4.
