PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous hydrostatic gas bearing and its manufacturing method capable of surely sealing end faces of a porous metallic sintered layer for a long period without performing sealing work with a sealing material composed of epoxy resin or phenol resin after performing cutting or grinding work to the porous metallic sintered layer. SOLUTION: This porous hydrostatic gas radial bearing 1A comprises a back metal 2, the porous metallic sintered layer 5 integrally joined with an inner face 3 of the back metal 2 through a joining layer 4 formed on the inner face 3, a supply means 9 having circular grooves 6, 7 formed on the inner face 3 of the back metal 2 to supply high-pressure gas to the porous metallic sintered layer 5, and a sealing material composed of pure copper, joined with inner faces of axial end parts of the back metal through the joining layer 4, and integrally joined with axial circular end faces 10, 11 of the porous metal sintered layer 5.
