PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner having control logic in which the operation is silent and/or easy when the air-conditioner is started. SOLUTION: An air conditioner has a condenser, an evaporator, a compressor, and a control unit. The control unit selectively operates the compressor according to the compressor request signal, and performs the ON/OFF cycling to the compressor so as to change the ON operating state which is continued for at least one period and the OFF operating state which is continued for at least one predetermined period, and further operates the compressor thereafter.
