摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner drum exposure system in which irregularity of recording is suppressed; isolation spacing is improved in accuracy; an exposure rate is prevented from falling by reducing weight when preparing an isolating element on an optical deflector, to suppress falling of rotation speed; and it is made possible to manufacture an inexpensive exposure scanning system. <P>SOLUTION: Two laser beams which are emitted from light sources 30A, 30B and are independently modulated by respective optical systems on the light source sides based on image signals are polarized and multiplexed by a polarization beam splitter 38, and the two laser beams are made into right-handed circularly polarized light and left-handed circularly polarized light to be emitted to a scanning optical system. The two laser beams, which are the right-handed circularly polarized light and left-handed circularly polarized light, made incident from the optical system of the light source side are converted to the linearly polarized light perpendicular to each other by a quarter-wave plate 26 arranged on the optical path of the scanning optical system. After that, exposure processing is performed by emitting the two laser beams transformed into linearly polarized light perpendicular to each other through an uniaxial crystal 28 and the quarter-wave plate 26 from different positions, respectively, so that the main outgoing beams of light become parallel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
