<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize low power consumption equal to that in use of a customized part while accomplishing a new function, by using general-purpose parts. <P>SOLUTION: A signal /REQ of a general-purpose I/O LSI 221 is sent to an /REQ terminal in a power-saving-compatible circuit 222. In receipt of the signal /REQ from the general-purpose I/O LSI 221, the power-saving-compatible circuit 222 sends a signal /SMI to a CPU 201, and the CPU 201 returns a signal /QACK to the power-saving-compatible circuit 222 after a power-saving condition is released. Only after receiving the signal /QACK from the CPU 201, the power-saving compatible circuit 222 sends a signal /REQ to a PCI bus arbiter 219 instead of the general-purpose I/O LSI 221, and if a bus access right is allowed after arbitration, a signal /GRT is sent from the PCI bus arbiter 219 to the general-purpose I/O LSI 221.
