<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the IP address of a gateway address wrongly set in an information communication apparatus into the IP address of a network relay apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When the number of times of reception of a SYN packet 62 is counted and the number of times or reception of the SYN 62 connected within a predetermined period exceeds a predetermined threshold, an RARP request packet 72 is transmitted for searching an IP address for an MAC address set in a transmission source MAC address region 82 of the SYN packet 62. An IP address set in a transmission source IP address region 98 of an RARP response packet 74 is compared to check whether or not the IP address matches an IP address set in a transmission source IP address region 84 in the SYN packet 62 or a gateway address stored in a storage device 35.
