PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing device and a method therefor, wherein pixel data obtained from image sensing devices which are different from each other in an arrangement mode of color filters can be properly subjected to signal processing without increasing a circuit in scale. SOLUTION: When a pixel data group obtained from image sensing devices which are equipped with the color filters arranged in a prescribed arrangement mode and provided corresponding to light receiving devices is subjected to the prescribed signal processing, in a case wherein the color filters of the image sensing devices are arranged in a certain arrangement mode different from the prescribed arrangement mode; the pixel data group is converted to a certain pixel data group corresponding to the predetermined arrangement mode of the color filters, then the converted pixel data group is subjected to the prescribed signal processing corresponding to the predetermined arrangement of the color filters, and on the other hand, in another case, the pixel data group is not converted but subjected to the prescribed signal processing corresponding to the predetermined arrangement mode of the color filters.
