PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply inspect whether there is no abnormality in the output of an in-wheel motor. SOLUTION: For the in-wheel motor 1, it is possible to control braking force independently for each wheel. A vehicle control unit 45 gives specified drive commands to motors for a front wheel and a rear wheel, and make judgment about the abnormality of the motors, based on the operating situations of the vehicle when the drive commands are given. For example, the vehicle control unit 45 gives opposite driving force to a right front wheel 3 and a right rear wheel 7 by controlling a right front in-wheel motor 13 and a right rear wheel in-wheel motor 17, and when the vehicle moves, it judges that there is an abnormality.
