PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical network analyzer which can determine the propagation characteristics of an object to be measured, with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The optical network analyzer comprises a demultiplexer for demultiplexing an optical signal generated by a light source; a first polarization controller for converting the polarization angle of one of the demultiplexed optical signal and allowing it to enter the object to be measured; an optical frequency converter for converting the frequency of the other of the demultiplexed optical signal; a second polarization controller for converting the polarization angle of the optical signal, of which the optical frequency has been converted; a multiplexer for multiplexing the optical signal passed through the object to be measured with the optical signal of which the polarization angle converted by the second polarization controller and outputting it; a polarization separation optoelectronic converter for outputting electrical signals, indicating a horizontally polarized component and a vertically polarized component included in the optical signal outputted by the multiplexer, respectively; and a network analyzer for determining the propagation characteristics of the object to be measured, on the basis of the reference signal generated by a reference signal generator and the electrical signals outputted by the polarization separation optoelectronic converter.
